Since 1966
Here at the Northeast Missouri Humane Society, we are committed to investing our expertise and resources in order to further achieve our cause.
Our mission is to prevent neglect, abuse, cruelty, and overpopulation of domestic animals,
to provide a network service to the lost or homeless,
and to educate the public on problems that matter.
Each year we care for nearly 2000 homeless pets from the Northeast Missouri area.
We take our responsibility very seriously.
Our Non-Profit 501 (c) (3). cares for the lost, stray, injured, neglected and unwanted animals of five counties which include Marion, Ralls, Monroe, Shelby and Lewis.
Our animals rely solely on the generosity of people like you.
Just imagine what we can achieve together!

Northeast Missouri Humane Society (NEMOhs) is committed to maximizing our efforts to save MO paws in our region. What liberates the shelter to target specific community needs rests on the ability to track the live release rate. NEMOhs uses the Asilomar matrix for shelter measurements and reports data to Shelter Animals Count.
