TNVR Program

In 2020, the NEMOHS (Northeast Missouri Humane Society) partnered with the Hannibal Police Department to establish a Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) program for feral cats.

This program is funded solely by the NEMOHS.

A TNVR program involves humanely trapping feral cats, having them spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and then returning them to their original location. This approach helps control the feral cat population, reduces the risks of diseases, and improves the overall health of the cat community. By working together, NEMOHS and the Hannibal Police Department aim to address the challenges posed by feral cats while promoting humane treatment and community awareness.

Please contact  HPD to participate in this program.

We ask that you patient in the Spring & Summer when using this program as that is our busiest time for the program.
