Fostering, Volunteering & Donating are essential ways to support our animals.

FOSTER

Foster homes are asked to provide care for the dogs and or cats, as well as transportation to and from veterinary appointments, transportation to the NEMO Humane Society when an approved application is submitted, or for any vaccinations that are due. Care for foster dogs or cats include feeding according to size and needs, exercise according to energy levels, and lots of play time and positive socialization.

Although fostering is a lot of work, it is a very rewarding experience. By participating in this program, you are saving lives and helping many different types of dogs and cats find the families they’ve been longing for.

VOLUNTEER

Volunteering at our shelter is important because it directly supports the care and welfare of animals in need, helping to provide them with socialization, exercise, and love while they await adoption. Additionally, volunteers play a crucial role in raising awareness about our mission and encouraging community involvement, which can lead to increased donations and adoptions.
